About Neurofeedback
Neurofeedback is a form of brain training that helps your brain learn to regulate itself more efficiently. Sensors measure your brainwave activity in real time, and when your brain moves toward a more optimal pattern, the app delivers subtle audio, visual, or tactile feedback.
When your brain drifts away from the target pattern, the feedback pauses. Over time, your brain learns through repetition and begins accessing these more efficient patterns on its own. Think of it less like meditation and more like physical therapy for your brain.
Yes. Remote neurofeedback uses the same clinical protocols, the same practitioner oversight, and the same personalized approach as in-person neurofeedback except it’s delivered through a home headset and an app. The primary advantage of remote training is consistency: you can train more frequently and on your own schedule which is often what drives faster results.
Most people begin noticing meaningful shifts within 10-20 sessions, which typically takes one to two months training two to four times per week. Changes are cumulative, meaning the brain builds on what it learns over time. Some people notice subtle shifts sooner, like better sleep, less reactivity, and more sustained focus, before the bigger changes fully take hold.
qEEG, or quantitative electroencephalogram, is a detailed map of your brainwave activity. During a qEEG assessment, EEG sensors on your scalp read your brain’s electrical signals, listening in on the conversations happening between different areas of your brain. Then they pass that info to me through a brain map. That data is compared against a normative database (which is the "q" of qEEG) to show us exactly where your brain is overactivating, underactivating, or misfiring relative to optimal function. This personalized map drives every decision in your neurofeedback training.
During your consult, you'll share what's been feeling harder than it should right now, and I'll recommend the best starting point based on how your brain is currently operating and how quickly you want to see change. Most clients begin with a period of more active training, then transition into Maintenance once their brain is operating more efficiently. The goal is to choose the level of support that matches what your brain needs right now and grow from there. If your needs change over time, your training plan can evolve with you.
onsistent training is what creates change, and having your own headset allows you to train at home on your schedule. The device connects to an app that delivers your personalized protocols while I monitor progress and make adjustments remotely.
Because the headset is yours to keep, you always have the option to return to training if you want additional support in the future. Headsets cost $300 and can be purchased here.
Changes are often subtle at first and tend to show up in everyday moments. Many people notice they fall asleep more easily, feel less reactive, recover from stress faster, or are able to focus without as much effort.
Some people begin noticing shifts within about 10 sessions, and progress continues building over time. In addition to what you notice day to day, session data allows us to track changes in brainwave patterns objectively as training progresses.
